The trip begins in South Twin River canyon. Here you will ride through beautiful rocky creek bottoms, leading into lush green mountain meadows. On previous trips we have seen Mule Deer, Golden Eagles, Chukar, Sage and Blue Grouse. Some nights we are fortunate enough to be sung to sleep by wild coyotes.

Leaving the meadows we head into the higher elevations, riding as high as 10,000 feet and as low as 7,000 feet. Aspen Groves, Pinyon Pine, Mountain Mahogany, and hundreds of different wildflowers show the beauty of Nevada few get to see.

Other interests of your ride will be your mount. Half of our riding horses were at one time Native Nevada Mustangs. They have been tamed and make excellent riding horses. You may bring your own horses, but be advised the trail requires mountain savvy horses. The ride is also long, so your animal should be in top condition.

The ride will end four days later in Kingston Canyon. This is approximately sixty-eight miles north of our starting position. We prefer to keep our trips to no more than six people. We can accommodate up to twelve people with advanced notice.

Come and explore the beauty and wonder of the Toiyabe Mountains.
