the hunter, this area offers Mule Deer, Antelope, Mountain Lion, Chukar, Blue Grouse & Sage Grouse. Feed is plentiful
here and the terrain offers a wide variety of hunting challenges
for all.
Wild
Horse Reservoir is located 24 from Mountain City. The reservoir
offers catfish, bass, trout and the ever present perch. **Mountain City is the last place to purchase
your fishing license as Wild Horse no longer sells them.**
Owyhee
River provides rainbows and German brown trout. Grab your fly
rod for some great fun.
Sheep
Creek & Mountain View Reservoir are located on the Duck Valley
Reservation.
Bull
Run Reservoir has special regulations, so be sure to check with
the Nevada Division of Wildlife before heading out.
Wilson
Reservoir is located 83 miles north-northwest of Elko via SR-225,
SR-226, and county roads; the last 16 miles are gravel. The Reservoir
provides over 800 surface acres. It offers rainbow trout and large
mouth bass
Dry
Creek, this reservoir gets very little fishing pressure and CAN
be very good during the spring. Fish Species are smallmouth bass
and rainbow trout.
The
great thing about Nevada is that you
can find camping spots almost anywhere you go. The Wild Horse
Reservoir area has three organized campgrounds for your needs.
Big Bend, Wild Horse State Park, and North Wild Horse. You never
know what you will find when you explore our neck of the state.
Wild
Horse Crossing is located on the Owyhee River just north of the
Wild Horse Dam in the bottom of the canyon.
