Thanks to Gallagher Ford in Elko. Nevada, we had a wonderful time on this particular fishing trip! If it hadn't been for their kindness and consideration we would have had to cut our trip short.
My husband, myself, our two children and our friends two children had planned on 2 days of fishing and camping at the Ruby Marshes. We had no sooner arrived and set up camp when our truck decided to refuse to run any longer. We aren't mechanically inclined and wouldn't have known where to start, but even we knew there was something VERY wrong with our 1 year old pickup.
We called Gallagher
Ford, via the "cell phone" we ALWAYS carry. They actually
arranged for not only the long tow back to Elko, but for a replacement
vehicle (big enough to haul 6 of us, a dog and gear), to be delivered
at our camp site! So we were able to continue with our original
plans.
Our family has owned Fords for over 20 years, and we've had very little problems with them. It's nice to know they actually back you up when there are problems though. We encourage everyone to carry a "cell phone" and other emergency gear whenever you travel!
We had a great time and the really good news is that the warranty on the pickup fixed it and paid the tow (whew). But Gallagher Ford went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and not inconvenienced in anyway! Thanks again!
