Willow Creek Reservoir

CAMPING: Information will be made available soon.

OFF ROAD VEHICLES: The majority of Elko County is classified as "open" to off-road vehicle use. Opportunities vary from well maintained gravel roads to hundreds of miles of primitive, back country "two-tracks". There are some Wilderness Study Areas and the areas within the Special Recreation Management Areas have a "limited" ORV (Off Road Vehicle) designation and all vehicles are required to stay on existing roads and two-track routes-in these areas NO cross country travel is permitted.

BOATING: Information will be made available soon.

FISHING: Fish species are White Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, White Catfish, and Lahontan Cutthorat Trout. During the spring when water temperatures rise, the Crappie fishing can be very good. The limit for Cappie is 15. The Largemouth Bass limit is 10 with a minimum size of 11 inches. You cannot have more than 15 warm water fish. (Example: 8 Bass + 7 Crappie or 12 Crappie + 3 Bass.) Always consult the Nevada Fishing Regulations as this information changes annually.

Fish the steep banks and shores, in the area of submerged vegetation. Use crappie jiggs and rubber grubs or mepps for Crappie and Bass. The water can be very muddy after heavy rains or spring runoff.
